GOLFER Matt Wallace told his caddie in an X rated rant to “shut up the f***” at the Valspar Championship.
The English star, who is 32 years old, placed joint-seventh on the Copperhead Course in Florida at the weekend, with a score one under par. Taylor Moore won the event.
His solid performance on the course was ruined by a meltdown at the 18th, when he shot off a cartpath on Saturday.
Wallace was preparing his shot when Sam Bernard, the caddie, jumped into the mix to convince him of a different tactic.
Bernard wanted Wallace to drop a few drops to the left of the path.
But Golf Star Wallace reacted furiously at the suggestion.
He seemed to say: “Shut up the f*** and stop trying… Stop trying to become involved.”
Bernard replied by saying: “I’m not interested.”
Wallace made par and ended with a score of 70. The pair finished the tournament on Sunday.
Cara Banks, NBC on-course reporter, revealed that “I can confirm the partnership is going well.”
They will be together again [for the final round on Sunday]. Matt was frustrated by his bogey and erroneous drive on 18.
He was annoyed that Sam asked if he should drop the ball before the second shot.
Wallace is infamous for losing his rag on the course.
The world no175 was furious with ex-caddie Dave McNeil at the BMW International Open in 2019.
In the same year, he also dug his putter deep into the ground at the 2019 British Masters.
Two years ago, at the Wales Open in Newport, he threw his clubs after a frustrated outburst.
